Ballyboughal Community Council would like to wish everyone in our village and surrounding areas a very happy and healthy New Year. As we look ahead to the year to come, we want to thank all residents, volunteers, community groups, local businesses and supporters who helped make last year such a positive one for Ballyboughal.

After plenty of stable rumours and eager locals champing at the bit, GiddyUpCup Coffee Dock is finally trotting into Ballyboughal in February 2026 — and it’s set to be a real crowd-pleaser. The new horse-box coffee dock will be pulling up with top-quality coffee, good vibes and plenty of character, bringing a much-needed caffeine pit stop to the village.

As part of the Ballyboughal Christmas Weekend Fair on December 12th and 13th, the much-loved O’Connor’s Front Garden Mini Fair is set to bring even more festive sparkle to the village.

Loving This Year’s Christmas Tree in the Monument Garden

There’s nothing quite like the moment our village starts to take on that magical Christmas glow, and this year’s tree in the Monument Garden is already stealing the show. Standing tall and full, it’s a beautiful centrepiece for the heart of Ballyboughal — even before the lights are switched on.

We were delighted to welcome Minister Michael Healy-Rae T.D. All the way from Kerry to Ballyboughal community hub for a cuppa and a chat last week, it was great to see him drop into a couple of local businesses too.

The Ballyboughal Community Council is thrilled to announce the opening of our brand-new Community Hub — a welcoming, purpose-built space at the heart of our village, designed to bring people together and support a wide range of community activities.
