Men’s Sheds are community-based organisations that provide a friendly, inclusive space where men can come together to share skills, engage in hands-on projects, and enjoy social interaction.

Originating in Australia and now established globally - including in Ireland - they offer a relaxed, supportive environment that helps combat isolation, particularly among older men. Activities often include woodworking, gardening, repairs, or simply having a chat over tea.

While each shed is unique, all share a focus on improving mental health, well-being, and community engagement. Men’s Sheds are open to all men, regardless of background or ability, and emphasize camaraderie, purpose, and connection.
