About

In Ballyboughal National School, every parent or guardian of a pupil is automatically a member of the Parents’ Association, fostering community involvement from the start of the school journey. The Association typically holds its Annual General Meeting early in the school year to elect a new committee that facilitates partnership between parents, the school principal, staff, and the Board of Management.

Its purpose aligns with the Education Act of 1998—to promote the interests of the students through active collaboration with all stakeholders. The Parents’ Association organises parent‑focused events, provides feedback on school policies or developments, and supports fundraising and school initiatives. Through this engagement, parents both build community and contribute to the children’s educational environment
